Hello There Sweet Reader,
August came in like a whirlwind and out with abundant blessings! It was both exhilarating and exhausting all at the same time! Since my last post which seems like ions ago ( about 4 weeks), we have successfully moved into our new home (though don’t look in my closet too closely because there are still a few unpacked boxes in there!), taken a vacation, had oodles of laundry, had a number of very special people over for dinner (I’ll explain below), hosted two parties, remodeled and installed natural stone on our cabin hearth …along side with my Sweetheart, had several appointments, car maintenance, Costco runs, women’s ministry planning meetings, more laundry, cleaning house… you get the idea.
More than anything this month was all about the new and old relationships of beautiful people God has placed in my life. What treasures they are to me! The main focus of our vacation was to meet, for the very first time (in person), our Sweet Pea’s boyfriend’s family! They are some of the kindest and most gracious people I have ever met. Our times were filled with lots of chatter, hikes, games, more food than one could humanly consume, family devotions, worship, porch viewing sunsets, star-gazing, and laughter mixed with grateful hearts.
Our families joined in the celebration of what God has done, and is doing in our beloved children’s lives as they have made the choice to be committed to one another in the beautiful gift of marriage.
They got engaged high in the mountains under a moonlit, starry night of meteor showers!
It could not have been more perfectly blessed!
We couldn’t be more in agreement, that God has made each for the other, and has great plans for them!
We love them both and are so very excited!
The wedding planning has begun!
” I have found the one whom my soul loves.”
